About

A monthly potluck cookbook club in downtown Toronto.

Bring one dish. Enjoy 35. Spend an evening with people who genuinely love food. Pure joy.

Every month, everyone cooks a different recipe from the same featured cookbook at home, then brings it to share at one table. One book, thirty-five interpretations, more food than anyone can finish.

It's free to attend. The only cost is the groceries for what you make and bring.

How it started

We're Tammy and Mady. We met on Bumble BFF, bonded over food, and went looking for a cookbook club to join in downtown Toronto. We couldn't find one that was open to the public, so we started our own.

The first public event was 9 people in Tammy's party room, cooking from Earls the Cookbook. A few faces were strangers at the start of the night and friends by the end. People came back the month after. Then the month after that.

A year later, Sauté Sundays gathers 35 people in downtown Toronto, and events regularly sell out within days.
